Given the current market, the Angels could end up extending a “non-roster invite” to Garret Anderson. But could he end up retiring (as Verducci suggests is possible)?
We think Garret has goals (500 doubles and 2,500 hits, for example, both of which he would reach during 2009) that make him far more likely than the others on Verducci’s list to swallow his pride and play for the veteran’s minimum (and/or accept a non-roster invite).
