So, Brian Giles says he wouldn’t mind being an Angel.
Giles is a good on-base guy but not much else. Given that the Angels already have a surplus of outfielders, and that Giles has an abundance of personal baggage, the chances of the Halos pursuing Giles are, effectively, zero.
Giles should probably just thank his lucky stars that the Padres picked up his $9 million option, and then fade away quietly.
