Dorking Out

It’s not often that we will refer you to a “fanpost” at another blog, what with most of them seeming to have been written by monkeys at the zoo (no offense intended toward monkeys at the zoo, of course). This one, however, struck us as particularly well thought out and deserving of at least a cursory look.

With more than a few Angel fans believing that Adam Dunn is the tonic for that which ails the Angel offense, “Suboptimal” (posting at Halos Heaven) provides statistics-based reasoning that could lead one to believe that Dunn may not be “all that” (as the kids like to say). It’s worth a look, even though we tend to believe that Adam Dunn (and his 40+ HR/.400 OBP) would have a more substantial impact as the Angels’ DH than this research indicates.
