Garland To D-Backs

It’s a done deal, according to Nick Piecoro.

The Angels will get another draft pick as compensation for Garland’s signing and, if Jon’s smart, Craig Landis (Garland’s agent) will get his walking papers. Not accepting arbitration cost Garland about $6 million.  Ouch.

Who among us is sad to see Jon Garland go?  We’ve never been a big fan of pitchers who give up substantially more hits than innings pitched.  Good riddance.
